Alberto Braida and Fabrizio Spera are sharing many musical projects. John Butcher and John Edwards have been collaborating for many years and in 2000 they started to play in trio with Fabrizio Spera. They played in Italy, Belgium, France and England. Alberto Braida and John Edwards played together with Marc Sanders as a trio too, in London in 2004. At this point, in 2005, it had been really natural for the four musicians to start to play as a quartet. They made some tours in Italy and Germany and recorded the CD A brush with dignity (Clean Feed records, CF 154) The improvised music played by the quartet came out from the different experiences of these musicians, therefore the complexity and the richness of the language is the result of this exciting challenge. |
